Project Introduction

It’s a game of finding Dalmatian with a specified number of spots based on abstract numbers. Children can understand the correspondence of numbers and shape through coding. The game will enhance their ability to observe and think. By changing the location of the robot, teachers can adjust the game difficulty in order to fit children of different ages and levels. This activity will exercise children's logical thinking ability and help them better understand numbers. Come and have a try!

Logical thinking/Number and shape

How to play

3-4

The teachers need to invite children to roll the dice, let them point out the location of Dalmatian with a corresponding number of spots based on the number that appeared on the dice. Then the teachers would let MatataBot face the target dog. After that, children need to use 2-4 move forward blocks to allow MatataBot to reach the destination. After completing the task, teachers will seal on children's stamp collection cards as an award. Throughout the whole process, teachers can encourage children to actively participate in coding through language guidance and action demonstration and let them enjoy it.

4-5

The teachers need to ask children to roll the dice and let them point out Dalmatians with a corresponding number of spots shown on the dice. Teachers then let MatataBot face randomly at a distance of 3-4 squares from the target dog. Then the children need to use turn left/turn right blocks and move forward blocks to let MatataBot reach its destination by following the route. Throughout the whole process, teachers can encourage children to actively participate in coding and let them enjoy it.

5-6

The teachers need to invite children to roll the dice first and let them point out Dalmatians with a corresponding number of spots shown on the dice. Teachers then let MatataBot face randomly and let it stand far from the target dog. The children need to use move forward/move backward blocks, turn left/turn right blocks as well as number blocks to complete the task. Route for reference: move forward-turn left/right-move forward. Throughout the whole process, teachers can encourage children to actively participate in coding and let them enjoy it.
